Our New Build Process

Every single new-build project is unique. That’s exactly how we approach them at White Agus. To get started, contact us by email or online to arrange a no obligation design meeting, where we can discuss your plans in more depth and explain how the process works…

Site Visit
We always visit the site or plot of land where your new-build home or properties will be located. Our design experts will discuss the practicalities including the relevant regulations, the potential size of your home or a feasible number of properties for the site. We’ll then produce sketch proposals as a starting point for the project.

Detailed Quote
Everything we’ve discovered and discussed on a site visit will be put into a fully costed quote. The costs and timescales will all be sent to you by email, so you have full clarity on the process going forward. That includes planning applications, building regulation fees, water authorities and energy assessors, so you won’t be hit by any unexpected bills further down the line.

New Build Designs
Then it’s time to get down to business. We’ll return to your site for a measured survey, which will be used to create precise initial designs within 2-3 weeks. Once you’ve received your designs, you can request as many edits as you see fit. Our team won’t stop tweaking and adjusting until you’re completely happy!

CAD Drawings
CAD floor plans and elevation drawings come as standard with our detailed designs. As well as giving you a clear picture of what your new build will look like – and assisting your planning application – these images can be used as marketing material for commercial projects. You can also opt for CGI and 3D images to really bring your property to life.

Project Management
New-build planning isn’t for the faint-hearted. But you shouldn’t have to worry about that. We’ll be on your side to take care of planning applications (typically 8 weeks), construction drawings (2-3 weeks) and building regulation approval (2-5 weeks). But in truth, you can forget all of those timescales – we’ll be in touch to notify you when everything is ready to go.
